Blue Planet is a Freespace 2 SCP Campaign set after the catastrophic Capella Incident which marked the end of the Second Shivan Incursion. The loss of the mighty Colossus, the tangible result of Terran/Vasudan cooperation, has prompted the two great races to drift apart. The new focus driving Terran engineering is the construction of the portal which would reconnect the Lost Generation with their ancestral home.

The question that is on the minds of every Terran in the GTVA still lingers: What has become of the Blue Planet?

It is amid this new political landscape that the Knossos portal connecting Delta Serpentis to the Sol system is finally completed. Unmanned probes are successfully sent through the node, bolstering the confidence of GTVA Command. The GTD Orestes, a state-of-the-art destroyer, is chosen to lead a task force through the node to reestablish contact with Sol.

In 2385, the fiftieth year since the Lucifer cataclysm cut off Earth from her colonies, the Orestes and her ships passed through the node to become the first of the Lost Generation to become reunited with the birthplace of humanity.
